As far as this type of product goes, this is the best, by far. Nevertheless, there are a couple shortcomings:
1) For some reason, unlike on better cordless drills, there are no reduced torque settings. As a result, I managed to over-torque some smaller bolts and damage the thread in the part to which it attaches, requiring and messy process to enlarge and re-thread.
2) The tiny button for reversing direction is difficult to use.

I bought this for my son because he does a lot of work on his house, my house and all our cars. He said he was looking for one so you can bet I searched for one. I found this, read the review and showed it to him before I bought it. He said that was exactly the brand and model he had been pricing. It is a lot cheaper on Amazon than Home Depot and other named stores. I bought it along with a tool bag to store it in and it was still cheaper than the other stores. He loves it and will get a lot of use from it. Since it was a gift, I do not know anything about the battery life, build quality, or anything else. But, I can tell you that he is a mechanic, handyman, jack of all trades and researches tools, their functionality and durability, and if this brand and model is what he was wanting than I believe it is worth buying. And definitely worth the price that I paid.

This is an awesome tool. Almost every time I’ve worked on my truck or when I’m at work I use it. The amount of time / effort this tool has saved me is priceless. In terms of the electric ratchet game I think Milwaukee has it down the best. I opted to get the brushless one since it has a higher RPM so you can zip stuff out faster. I received this tool in late March of this year and since I’ve been using it almost every day. I work in a bike shop so it’s great because all the fasteners use mostly light torque so this zips if off no problem. Most automotive stuff this will not zip off by itself but that’s not what this is meant for. I’ve dropped this tool multiple times pretty hard and I don’t go easy on it when I’m wrenching and what not and it’s proved to be strong enough and shows no sign of slowing down either. The size of this tool is also awesome. It’s form factor is actually the smallest of electric ratchets, including it with the battery, it’s also pretty light so it’s easy to use. If your looking for an electric ratchet this is the one to get!

I love these 12v tools for mechanical work. They are compact and fit into places other battery powered tools won’t. Yet they are strong enough to get work done. The overall quality and feel is really nice as well. I would definitely say dive into the entire milwaukee 12v lineup if you enjoy working on cars, motorcycles etc.
