I was skeptical about the price difference between this seller and the big box stores. It is indeed a legit Milwaukee tool. We use these at work in the oilfield and I wanted one for personal use. These things get abused daily and they just keep going. Works just as it’s supposed to with a 5.0 ah battery. Plenty of power and it’s not too bulky. Removes 1/2” and 3/4” bolts that are torqued to 150 ft lbs without any hesitation. 10/10.

Excellent, heavy duty solid piece of kit. Haven’t had a rusty bolt anywhere on the car that has given it an issue. Intrigued to see if it’s the same story on a crankshaft bolt, will update when I get there. Lug nuts sometimes take 2, maybe 3 impacts max before they go, but they still go very easy. I suppose I still have envy for the 1600 ft/lb high torque, but so far I can’t say I’ve met an application that needed it yet.

I do like the feel and the weight of it. It honestly doesn’t feel very big, and though it does carry a bit of weight, it’s definitely in proportion to its capability. As far as battery life, changed out every suspension component on the car and did probably 50 lug nuts off and back on with normal midsized sedans, and only used 1 bar of battery. Using the regular m18 5mAh battery. So, this thing is a workhorse. Great purchase

One category on this product is battery life. This being a half inch impact driver, I strongly recommend you buy a battery to handle what this will or could be used on. I bought mine because I have the 3/8 impact now. Those came with 2.0aH batteries. They do run this impact, but deplete rather quickly. I ended up buying a new, 6.0 aH battery, and I both notice a much better longevity of the battery, as well as the power output of the tool. The tool itself, is pretty light, rather quiet for an impact. Enough so, that it took some getting used to not have loud hammering noise, like my pneumatic would produce.
This is rated at 650 ft lbs, but I’m thinking its more like, 450. It still breaks wheel lugs away, and I like the shorter head on it, for tighter areas. The nose has three LED lights on the edges that produce a good amount of light to illuminate your work. I find a couple times, my large hands accidentally hit the power adjust button below the grip, and I accidentally switched it to low power, almost like you would use to start a bolt, but not torque it fully. I noticed twice today, the trigger did not activate the gun, but it may have been my awkward grip on the impact. I think it’s a bit of a learning curve to use this, since I’m used to pneumatic impacts.

    I love it..
… Purchased before the new stubby.. Running off the 5ah batteries it works well for any suspension and wheels ive had to tackle. If you need super fast rpms for some suspension bolts like swaybar endlinks or ones that require a allenkey in the bolts it maybe a lil anemic.. Pneumatic does still crank the rpms or idk maybe a stubby or dewalt, idk.but regardless ive encountered that situation which technically is me being lazy and using rpms to shortcut using a wrench and allenkey. lolol.
    .
Its a good solid mid-torque… Torque test channel shows there are stronger ones out there.. Its more of a benchmark of a impact, a standard… 18mah batteries vs some using 20 shows its pretty efficient.
With 2 – 5mh battery i’ll rotate one when a bar drops on it.. There is a noticeable beans drop w lugs at that point. have dropped acouple times but im pretty careful in general and it was never anything crazy. . Sometimes the battery likes to hold very tight but i prefer that then the alternative.

I am slowly building my battery tool box up. I Love air tools and never thought I would like a battery powered impact gun but, I do.
I am surprised by the power output and long battery life. I replaced shocks on an older rusty truck and had no problem. The shock bolts were rusted so badly I was worried about them snapping when applying any torque. The Milwaukee spun them off before they had a chance to snap. I also removed the rear differential cover, again just rusty and seized up bolts. I set the gun to the lowest setting to be safe on the low torque bolts and they zipped right off. It was awesome having power settings at the press of a button compared to dialing down air pressure.
The milwaukee handled them all with no trouble and didn’t drop the battery by even 1 bar by the end of the job.
The small size was able to squeeze in tight places , no air hose to deal with and lights to help me see what was goin on.
My only gripe would be the directional button being easy to press on accident. A few times while upside down I did press it into the lock position. Not sure where a better spot for it might be or maybe just a studier button or shorter button would help. A minor gripe but it was the only thing remotely negative.
I still love my air tools and not sure I can ever fully replace them(I love my ingersol rand thunder gun). However this battery impact is awesome and can go anywhere and brings the power with it.

Like it, very comfortable, easy to use, good torque range. Impact very good, use it for rusty balls, took them off very easy , also truck tire balts..

This tool met and exceeded my expectations. I bought it for a repair on my vehicle which it has excelled at. I also work on a farm and this think can do it all even on the bigger stuff. This tool has been indispensable when it comes to to working on everything from the big bolts on tractors, to driving lag bolts to hold gate hardware.
