This necklace was very inexpensive so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at how cheap looking it was! It looks like it came out of a 25 cent gumball machine! To add insult to injury, I was not able to return it to the nearby store that I usually return my items to. I had to take it into the UPS store and even though it was in the small box that it was delivered in, the return instructions required that it be put into a larger envelope for the return shipping. I was forced to pay for the envelope and had to pay to ship it back! To make matters worse, when I called A*azon customer service to demand to know why, the customer service rep hung up on me because she didn’t have an answer and I guess I was just too persistent in wanting to know the answer. Furthermore, when I called back to speak to a manager…he was eating and talking to other people around him while on the phone with me! He also didn’t know why I didn’t have a choice on where I could return the item but promised that I would receive an answer via email and still have not heard back from anyone. (that was last week) What a waste of time & money!!!

tl;dr: I would return this, but driving to UPS is just not worth my time.
As others have mentioned, this is obnoxiously yellow, not really a natural gold-tone at all. The chain is also obnoxiously loud and it just SOUNDS cheap, if that makes sense. Very clanky, and it makes noise pretty much any way you move.
On the plus side, so far, it hasn’t tarnished after a few summer wears. I liked that I could choose my length and it honestly sits pretty nicely.
