This cordless trimmer has become a reliable tool in my garden maintenance arsenal, offering excellent versatility and ease of use that significantly streamlines the yard work process.
One of the standout features of this Weedwacker is its seamless transition between trimming and edging functions. The tool is well-balanced, making it easy to maneuver around the garden, and its cordless design means I’m not tethered to a power outlet, allowing for greater freedom of movement. The cutting power is robust, handling thick weeds and overgrown grass with ease, making my garden look neat and well-tended in no time.
Another aspect I appreciate is its compatibility with the CRAFTSMAN V20 battery system. As someone who already owns several tools from this line, being able to interchange batteries among the tools is incredibly convenient and cost-effective. However, my experience was slightly marred when the unit arrived with a dead battery that was unable to charge. While the initial hiccup with the battery was a setback, it did not diminish the tool’s performance once it was up and running.
In conclusion, despite the initial issue with the battery, I would still highly recommend the CRAFTSMAN V20 WEEDWACKER String Trimmer & Edger. Its performance, ease of use, and versatility are top-notch, making it a valuable addition to any gardener’s toolkit. It earns a solid four out of five stars from me, and I’m confident that anyone in the market for a reliable, cordless trimmer will find this tool to be a worthy investment.

Agréable à utiliser, la batterie ne dure pas super longtemps mais pour un petit terrain c’est parfait, sinon je recommande de se procurer une batterie 5 amp. Ça demeure un débrousailleur super pratique et performant pour un taille-bordure électrique. Légèrement moins qu’à essence, mais tellement plus simple d’utilisation et d’entretien à mon avis.

I bought this to replace a light duty Ryobi battery-powered unit and have never looked back. This one has a lot more power, and my favorite part is that it extends to accommodate tall people. I’m 6’1 and had to hunch over uncomfortably to use the Ryobi. Not the case with the Craftsman- it is far more comfortable to use. It is lighter than most gas units I’ve used but is definitely heavier than the Ryobi, so that’s something to keep in mind. The quality and durability have been what I expected from Craftsman. Really my only complaint is that it came with a 2ah battery, which will only last 15-20 minutes if you use the trimmer on high speed. I guess it might be fine if you have a small yard, but you’ll probably need more. Fortunately I have other Craftsman tools and had a few 4ah batteries already, which will get you 35-40 minutes on high speed. All in all I’m very happy with this trimmer.

I was shocked how lightweight the package was when I picked it up which delighted me as I knew product was going to be even lighter. It was ready to go other than a quick installing of handle in which you only need a screwdriver. Battery was charged but I charged it a little bit before I went out & wacked away a huge amount of unwanted greenery. I loved this so much that I held my phone (not the safest to do, I didn’t get hurt but limits your grip on handle) for light as I continued through the dark. Battery that came with it held up for the hour I used it & still had charge, I used low speed bc it was doing the job & I’m a newbie at weedwacker. Also I pushed it to the limits not intentionally as I kept hitting unseen concrete, thick branches, etc & the string did not break. Love that it’s cordless!! IDEAL for any adult females of any age or size (I’m short below 5’3″ who have no one to help with yard work who’ve never used powerful equipment, YOU CAN DO IT!! This review is based on 1st initial use therefore longevity of this equipment is unknown.

This string trimmer works very well. I use it in concert with my mower of the same brand to keep my small yard well groomed. It is reasonably light and the battery lasts long enough, though I usually use one of the mower batteries after I am done mowing for convenience. The edging function isn’t really what I would call the best, but what do you expect when you use this instead of a dedicated edger. It had 2 speed levels. I usually keep it on high but your mileage may vary. Bottom line, it’s a solid trimmer that is light weight and affordable. I would recommend it any day of the week.

Feels like a toy after my heavy gas-powered weed eater, but this thing really gets the job done. Does a nice job of keeping the string the right length automatically. Because of other reviews I ordered a larger battery also. Battery life with the included battery is limited, and it has a long charge time. With the larger battery I get about 45 minutes. Its charge time is very long. Overall, a great product!
