I have other folding utility knives and also other Craftsman folding utility knives, the others have a better button or lever to press to fold it again. I don’t like the lever on this one as much as the others. It isn’t too bad once you know how to fold it, but it is more difficult than others. Otherwise the feel while cutting is not bad, easy to change the blades.

I bought my first one at Lowe’s I bought two from this seller and they’re just as good. The knife has held up well in the past year I’ve had it and, the action is smooth. I don’t know what to say I don’t buy knives that much that’s why I bought one with razor blades that can be replaced. But it’s easy to open and close, not too heavy in my pocket. I don’t know what to say, I don’t normally write reviews but I really like this knife.

There is no obvious release button to fold this Craftsman Compact Folding Utility knife. And there are no instructions to give you a clue! After watching a couple of YouTube videos on other models, I finally figured it out. But it’s not a good design. Be careful not to cut yourself. So…how do you fold this model? There is a black painted metal bar with teeth that is just inside the underside of the red handle. This bar keeps the blade stiff while you are using it. To fold, press the bar slightly, toward the side of the handle that it is on, and gently fold the knife. Move your fingers, and complete the fold. Awkward, i will not recommend this knife to anyone! I like the one made by their competitor that starts with M.
