These del 7050 renewed computers are a great bargain.
They were originally sold as industrial and office machines and are about 6 years old.
They were 5 to 10 times the price when they were new, real top of the line machines.
But in the industry market 6 years is forever and they were replaced with newer better machines.
They are still Very powerful computers for home use, better than my 3 yr old fancy gaming machine in all but graphics and not bad in graphics either.
Of course the hard drives were destroyed when they were retired, and they never had internal WiFi, but the refurbisher has replaced the missing hard drives with a good large (1TB) SSD and included a small new USB WiFi module. They also come with a new USB keyboard and mouse.
An unlisted bonus was a good CD / DVD RW drive. I don’t use DVDs any more but it is good to have one in the house for legacy media.
The refurbished unit was in spotless perfect like new condition.
My wife’s 15 year old Dell computer finally died a few days ago (pwr sup.) and at that age I felt it was not worth repairing. This replacement has twice the file space and several times the speed for 1/2 the price.
I was able to salvage the old hard drive and clone it to a USB memory.
Macrium Reflect is a great backup and transfer program, even the free version.
I wiped the new machines drive and put in the clone and my wife has all of her files and programs and settings back!

Note on the USB WiFI Dongle: It works quite well after it is installed and set up but it is tricky to install.
The newly cloned operating system misrecognized it as a storage device rather than a network adapter.
If you attempt to read this storage device it automatically installs the proper driver and then works and is recognized properly.

Muy satisfecho con el desempeño y caracterÃsticas del equipo. Solo tomen en cuenta que el CPU es de 7a generación por lo que no cumple con soporte para win 11, tampoco el motherboard acepta cpus de generación posterior. En mi caso no era un requerimiento asi que estoy muy satisfecho con la compra. El equipo trae win 10 listo para instalarse de manera sencilla al iniciarse por primera vez.

I purchased the Dell OptiPlex 7050 SFF desktop as a gift for my 13-year-old son, and it’s been absolutely perfect as his first PC. He primarily uses it for gaming (Minecraft, Roblox, and various online games) and schoolwork, and it handles everything with ease.
Setup was straightforward, although we had a moment of panic when we couldn’t find a way to connect to Wi-Fi. It turns out the Wi-Fi USB component was included in the box—we just overlooked it. Once we plugged it in, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and my son was gaming within 10 minutes.
This desktop is compact, efficient, and a great choice for someone starting out with a PC. It runs smoothly, and my son couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommend for gaming, schoolwork, and overall functionality!

Great for the price! I have been using this PC for work for the last three months and have not had any issues. PC is fast, quiet, and can handle multiple applications at once. I run about 15 programs at a time with no issue. wifi is not built in, but does come with a wifi USB adapter.

I was surprised when it arrived it’s a lot smaller than my last tower computer. But I am very impressed with this thing, boots pretty fast. Very easy to hook up, requires an HDMI plug for the video. So, make sure your monitor has one. The included mouse and keyboard are really cheap but for the price who cares. It also includes a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth plug in USB very small devices. After setup be sure and get all the windows updates, the video driver installed is outdated and needs update, gave me problems at first. It appears to have 2 slots to add in a video or sound card but not sure what kind of slots, I haven’t really looked at it yet. All and all its a great little computer for the price, if you’re on a budget it’s a good deal.

UPDATE! One month later & it is still working well, blazing fast. I opened it up and found the interior very clean and “like new” inside! No dust or other evidence of wear. The (legal) upgrade to Win 11 Pro (google on upgrading outside of Windows Upgrade method) went without flaw and it now regularly gets Windows updates as they come out. I found the STG mouse included to be light weight but very responsive, not “cheap junk” as some have described it. The keyboard I do not use, because the “enter” key is badly located where it’s not easy to reach, causing errors in typing. I connect by ethernet, so I can’t attest to the wifi dongle, except that it appears to be working. The Bluetooth dongle works just fine.
If you are concerned about failure over a year or more after purchase, I recommend buying the Asurion extended warranty. I did, and I’m glad I did–though I haven’t needed to use it after a month of use.
I bought this and have found it to be a very fast, robust PC, with Intel core i7 processor at 3.6ghz, 32 g RAM and 1 terabyte solid state HD. Comes with wi-fi and Bluetooth dongles if you wish those features. I connect by ethernet, which is the preferable way to connect to the internet. As for Bluetooth, I now have that with the dongle included.
Several reviewers here mentioned the flimsy keyboard and mouse. If you already have these and are happy with them, just leave out those included items. Of course it does not come with a monitor.
One objection mentioned by users is that this PC is incompatible with Windows 11 (it comes with Win 10 professional), and that is an important issue considering that Microsoft will not issue security patches after October 2025. However, if you are somewhat tech savvy, you can sidestep this problem. I did so and now have Win 11 pro on this PC! (Check out zdnet for instructions on how to force it to upgrade to version 11! It works beautifully so far.
I have found this to be a very robust PC for general use. I am not big on gaming, so I can’t attest to its usefulness there. But for my purposes (web surfing, use of financial software, and Photoshop among others), it is perfect and should work well for years to come.
