  1. Angie D. Powell

Sara and Carol do a great job explaining the medspa industry, providing advice, and sharing their own experiences in an informative and helpful manner all while putting their own spin and sense of humor into their words. It was a great read with lots of personal stories to keep you entertained while also providing helpful and practical advice. Strongly recommend for all involved with the med spa industry! 🙂

  2. Jonathan Rowland

If you have been talking to others and following groups or other avenues of medspa business advice, there wasn’t any new information, but it did concisely and in an easy to read/digest fashion summarize all the old adages given elsewhere. It also gives you some questions to answer that can be a good starting point for starting your business plan.

  3. Rene Barcelo

Great book that is easy to read and understand. Love how the authors are transparent when it comes their realife story.

  4. Robert Manhardt

Well worth the read for anyone considering opening or having recently opened a medical spa. The experience that these authors bring to the table is priceless information that you will not find elsewhere. Their tell-all information from two med spa entrepreneurs that have started successful practices from the ground up will give you the guidance you need to start and grow your own med spa. The book covers everything from choosing a name and planning for startup funds to selling your business when the time is right.

  5. Freedom

This was a succinct, but in depth guide, for anyone looking to start a business in the Medspa industry. As a medical professional with no business training, I found the advice given in this book invaluable. It saved me from a multitude of mistakes I would have made had I not read this book first. From the creation of the name to the specifics of the business entity and so much more. This is DEFINITE MUST READ!

  6. Cedric Thilen

Great Read! Anyone who owns a business or is thinking of starting a business (whether it’s a Medspa or a dif industry), would benefit from reading this book! It’s both a ‘How to’ / inspiring business guide to help you take that first step to being your own boss, and a vision for how the medical service industry should be.

The authors wrote very clearly the steps they took and give very helpful advice (again, any business would benefit) and weaved in their own stories for how they took a leap into entrepreneurship and included the hurdles they faced and how one could prepare for those (the legal aspect of this is particularly important). I felt like I was having a nice conversation with the authors and learned while I read this.

And to be honest, all medical professionals should read this book too, because it’s A VISION OF WHAT THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY SHOULD BE!!! Now that I’ve read about the detail and care both authors took for their businesses to provide care for their patients – treating them in a compassionate and human way and planning the care, not just in and out in 5 minutes and passing them off to other people…. I wonder why I settle for less at other Doctor’s offices – like my dermatologist (who I emailed after reading this to ask for more time during my visits and create a plan for my skin concerns and aging. I never thought to do this before!).

  7. Mary NIelsen-Clinical Cognitive

I read this book in a weekend, and its an easy read that is PACKED with relevant and applicable information. I’ve owned a medspa and can identify with so much of the information! Each chapter is really a blueprint to help you avoid the mistakes and make the best decisions if you are interested in opening a medspa.

  8. Tarina Desai

This book is full of very useful and helpful information. There’s no fluff and the quality of advice is great. I’ve had my med spa for four years now and I still found some things in here useful. I also purchased a second one for my new manager as I think it’ll be helpful for her too, especially since she is new to the med spa industry. Highly recommend!
