I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this flashlight. It is very bright, so the visibility is very good. It fits in my hand perfectly. The magnet strength is okay, it. It’s rechargeable, 20 V battery Will last a very long time and with the adjustable head on the flashlight, it is very versatile.

I am a big fan of Dewalt products because of there small handles and front release batteries. My hands are very small and I truly appreciate their design. I recommend Dewalt products to other females every chance I get. That said, I agree with another reviewer in that it does have a cheep plastic feel. But that might be to offset the weight of the battery to make it easier to use.
It has an excellent bright light and is super simplistic in design and use. High in function and no frills. I will use this light often.
Now for the zinger: the instructions are a morass of putrid glop. Someone really dropped the ball. It consists of a single sheet of paper, folded like a map, that unfolds into a sheet of paper the size of a Volkswagen Bug. Gads! Hey guys, ever heard of a booklet?!? 🙄

I have owned this light for 2 years and now ordered a second one when it went on sale.
Yes the light is pricier and there are knock offs…but…
Dewalt makes special kind of plastic that although appears hard, has some plasticity and give in it. It won’t break on impact. And that is a big deal. The cheap knock offs all use really crappy brittle plastic; most won’t survive even a 2′ fall on hard surface, and that is not a joke (same goes for knock off batteries; brittle and not the reported capacity; you have been warned).
The light has 2 mode of brightness and the brightest setting is just insane. It goes very, very far and lights up a decent area in far distance (but obviously none near you as this is NOT a floodlight).
The light’s battery durability is average. On the lower setting it will last much longer. To give a perspective:
– 1.7ah small battery: about 20mins of continuous lighting; about 12mins on bright setting
– 4ah knock off battery: about 3 hours on low setting; 2hours on high setting
Construction is well thought out. The hook on top is great. The head swivels in a ratcheting fashion, so there are several positions from 90 degrees to 180 degrees and the ratcheting makes sure the head stays in that position.
In 90 degree configuration, you can put it down and it stays nicely put sitting on top of the battery.
In 180 position, with a smaller battery up to about 4ah, it is so nicely balanced in your hand that it does not tip backward or forward much.
Overall this is an amazing light; the best I have owned in 25y of using various lights. Highly recommended

I love this light. One 2 amp hour battery lasts for a long time. This is one of the least expensive DeWalt cordless tools out there, but it’s built well, shines brightly, and is rugged like everything else DeWalt makes.

If you’re a dewalt fan, you should get one of these flashlights. Low cost, and ya have the batteries already. Nothing spectacular and not the brightest. But bright enough and handy as heck.

Well worth the 29 bucks if you already own a 20v Max drill. Very bright and handy because, unlike a standard flashlight, this will stand up by itself and shine the light right where you need it.
