Easy to use –
This is second unit of this type I’ve purchased for motorized 12v vehicles.
Converting snail charging system to plug and play is best for continuous riding.
Wish the adapter housing is better made so fit and funtion are trouble free.
As mentioned above, first unit made by different manufacture fits and functioned better.

The GOOD: The fit on a Ryobi battery is perfect. The functionality is fantastic! I love that the quick connects were included. I use this for portable devices such as lights, speakers, etc. So many products require the standard 12 volt battery, yet I have numerous Ryobi 18 volt batteries, and no conveniently small 12volt batteries. Also, the convenience of stepping down the 18v to a 12v adds simplicity to my life, and enhances the value of the batteries I already own.
The BAD: Not a lot of bad with this product. Really the only bad is subjective. The rectifier is loose and flops around if you don’t mount it to something. That is likely a good thing for most people and their needs. For me, I wanted a solid unit. So, I used one zip tie and secured the rectifier to the unit (see photo). Now it is nice and portable.
The UGLY: No ugly with this unit. The manufacturing and fit is wonderful, and the color matches perfectly.

I do lots of 12v LED projects for automotive and home and this made it very easy to test things out. I chose this product out of what was available because it also had an on off switch. The only way this product could be improved would be adding an “on” indication light as well as either a slightly longer cord between the step down converter/heatsink module and battery holster, or something combining them into a neater, elegant package.

I also bought a twin pack of 7 amp batteries, each battery is about an hour of ride time. charging is under an hour. This product uses the 18 volt battery and steps it down to 12 volts for ride on toys, just cut off the toys large connector and splice it in. The kids get a longer ride time, and being able to share the same batteries with my tools is a plus.
