I’ve been running in Guides for 6 years and love them. Super lightweight but sturdy and supportive for my pronation. Had the 11 then 13 and now 15, which is almost identical to the 16 but cheaper. The 17 is out now but it seems like there are changes I won’t like so not worth spending more. The 15 is a huge improvement over the 13. Less bulky in the ankle and upper and it now gives a tiny extra bit of length (2mm) in the toe point with less sliding around than before so you may not need to 1/2 size up for running. I wear a 5.5 in street shoes and this time I prefer the 5.5 to the 6 in these for running because it holds my heel and mid-foot much better. I’ve always run in size 6s per running store recommendation, but tried the 6 in this model and they felt like clown shoes on me especially because of how soft and stretchy the upper is now. The soles feel grippier than before so hopefully less slippy in winter/wet conditions.

I have been buying Saucony Guides for years. I normally order directly from the Saucony website, but it said these were coming from Saucony. I trust their consistency and these were cheaper so I figured why not. Immediately when I tried this pair on, they felt off. They looked… cheaper. Also, this iteration of the Guide has a cushion in the heel that makes them feel about half a size smaller. I considered returning them, but by then they were already sold out of the size and color I wanted. Whatever, I figured I would just wear thinner socks. If only I had just returned them. The first run I went on felt great! But it had just rained the next time I wore them. Immediately my feet were soaked and muddy. I mean, I was squishing around and dripping water with every step I took. It seemed weird but I figured I had stepped in a puddle. Wrong. I wore these shoes yesterday for a run. I hadn’t even made it down the street and they were already filled with water. I know they don’t claim to be water-proof, but it was so bad I’m convinced water is coming in through the bottom of the shoe. I have NEVER had this issue with Guides before, even when I’ve run in the rain. As if that wasn’t bad enough, as I was walking into the gym just now part of the bottom of the shoe started ripping off. I’ve worn them 3 times. I cannot wear these shoes anymore, and I certainly can’t run in them. I have tried to submit the defective product form on Saucony’s website multiple times, but it will not let me submit it. At this point I’d rather just cut my losses. Last time I order running shoes from Amazon, and probably last I order from Saucony unfortunately 🙁

Great shoes: look good, feel good, excellent support. I’m writing this a year after having bought them and planned to buy another pair just like them. I hesitated because when I bought these in fall 2023 I paid $60. One year later they’re on sale for $100. Really? Guess I waited too long and now they’re sold out and I can’t find them anywhere.

I am not a brand name fanatic. I could care less about having brand name products, so long as the quality is there.

However, when it comes to sneakers, it is definitely worth buying a brand name. I had a pair of some no-name Amazon purchased sneakers (they looked great), but after a 1.5 mile run my feet and calves were painfully sore for 4 days. The moment I put these on after getting them delivered (about 2 days post run), the difference was undeniable.

These shoes are extremely comfortable: you can feel a gentle “squish” when you apply pressure as you move, the front of the shoe is wide (which I personally like, even though I have narrow feet) allowing your toes to spread naturally, and the shoe’s material have small enough stretch to them, allowing your feet to not feel constricted/squeezed by the shoe.

Aside from wearing them to work, have not gone running in these yet. Therefore, I will update this review if the shoes do not provide the comfort I am expecting.

The shoes solved the pain I felt in my feet due to plantar fascitis.

Estupendas, tengo los pies cabos y está zapatilla es una delicia!

I used to run in normal sneakers and started getting shin splints after a mile. Day 1 with Saucony: love the color (yellow), love the added bounce to my steps, and love the lack of shin pain. Their foot support made my random urges to go running feel like a reward, rather than a workout!! A year later (I only run a few miles a week), they are still in fantastic shape! My toes are never cramped, the shoe was true to size, and the material has not fallen apart. I recommend these as running shoes AND walking shoes, especially for people who are amateur runners 🙂

I love Saucony’s since they fit my wide feet. These shoes are comfortable on my arch and I like the extra padded heel. I usually buy Kinvara styles but this is my first Guide purchase. The shoes are kind of wide at the ankle and makes me nervous about running in them. The shoes also squeak. I’m not sure if that’s a issue from replacing the insole with another type but it can be a little loud and annoying. Overall, I like to walk and workout in these but wouldn’t recommend them for any running activities if the fit doesn’t support your ankles. You can easily roll your ankle by mistake.

I have a damaged a nerve in my spine from a car accident 20 years ago. Any time I walk or run for longer than a couple of minutes I get an awful sensation on my skin from my hips down to my ankles. Turns out, it’s from the impact of heel striking. These shoes go a long way to mitigating that impact. I bought these August 2023. I have worn them camping, hiking, walking, shopping, everywhere you can think of. I like them so much I have ordered another pair.
