This attachment worked great on my shop vac for a new conduit line I put in from my house to garage. No issues with this I only used one of the sizes but i have no doubt the rest would work just as well on other size pipes.

  2. Jeffrey Tauri

I’ve only used it once but it seems to work well.

I’ve run lots of cable through conduit by running a fish tape and either pulling a string line or cable bundle back through. This Conduit Line Puller Attachment Kit from DEWALT change that. With these specialized nozzles all you do is connect your vacuum up to one end of the conduit and suck your string line right through. Easy-peasy! The nozzles are universal fit and will work with most standard shop vac hoses from 1-1/4″ to 2-1/2″.

At $70 (current price on Amazon) they’re super expensive for what amounts to 3 plastic adapters in a plastic bag. If you’re running a lot of conduit they pay for themselves in time savings so in the end they’re worth it, but come on, DEWALT, at this price you could have at least included a storage bag and put them in a box to make the purchaser feel a bit better about spending this much!

Did not know these existed. Knew right away that I needed them when I saw them.

They are great for pulling a string through electrical conduiting, so you can them pull wire through.

This is my first time using a line puller so I didn’t know what to expect. The tips fit my (dewalt) shop vac perfectly but I assume will fit any shop vac fine.

    How to use…
I use a 10 gallon 5HP, 1.75″ hose shop vac (dewalt) but these should fit any size shop vac tip at lower HP. I looked up how to use and basicaly this works best by tieing twine around the handles of a Tshirt bag (grocery bag) (image the bag like a parachute with the handles at the bottom with twine attached to them. You then plug the shop vac into the one end (where you want to receive the line) and drop the bag with attached twine down the other end. This will quickly pull the twine through the conduit. You can then pull cables thorough the conduit. using the twine.

    Final thoughts
This is a good line puller set that I recommend.

It’s not often I am wowed by a tool these days but I must admit, this one did make me smile! I have used shop vac’s and improvised(to say the least) fittings to pull string or twine thru conduit in order to pull wire. Ofthe this can be a frustrating job trying to get everything to seal and pull a bag through. This set of puller adapters works great to fix those issues and make it a quick and simple job. The adapters fit my DeWalt DWV012 perfectly and easily sucked themsef in the pipe to make a good seal. Pulled a bag thru a 130 foot length of 2 inch with string attached without issue and fast! Another trick for those that have shop vacs that allow for a hose to be attached to the exhaust, is to push the bag thru, I used an adapter to fit between the hose and this tool, to drill a small angled hole through to let the string in and mounted a little dowel to hold it all in place. works great for long runs, and if you really need to you can adapt it to a cordless blower for really long runs.

Ordered this DEWALT Shop Vac Conduit Line Puller Attachment Kit as I occasionally have to pull a line through smurf tube when doing structured networking. Without looking carefully at first I thought these were ran through the tube and attached to the string. That would not make much sense.

These are flexible adapters so you can use that shop vac on various sizes of conduit while making a solid sealed connection to the vac and the conduit. The shop vac goes on the yellow side and you can then angle the flexible black rubber side to get that suction even when the tube is already installed in a tight space. The reduction in diameter keeps it connected to the shop vac without having to hold it or tape it on there. Came in a plastic bag with no branding… but still inclined to believe they are genuine.

Brand name quality tool, glad to add it to my kit. Will make the occasional wire pull even easier.

These work great for getting shop vac suction onto any common conduit sizes to pull line, but also work well for cleaning condensate drain lines. Probably have a lot of other off-label use cases, the flexible rubber tips will make a good connection with just about anything.

Expensive for what you get, but the quality is good. These feel like they will last a long time.
