100ft limit I now learn. Whaaaaat… It almost feels like bait and switch, or preying on victims. How is 100′ any good? “You should have assumed it didn’t have the capability you thought it did” Okay vitaminwater, dirty tactic acknowledged.
It’s a shame I really like dewalt but it’s just another business, owned by some faceless monopoly.

The only way they have GPS tracking is if they’re connected to your phone and once your phones out of range they lose GPS tracking so they are kind of pointless to have on a job site.

This has potential, if it was a gps tracker it would be amazing. I knew before I bought it that it wouldn’t track it if it was stolen, so I thought at the very least I’d get a notification if I accidentally left it at a job site. I tested it to see how fast I’d be notified when it was out of range. I waited for 10 mins and was o my notified when I opened the app. I suppose it would be a good theft deterrent to someone that didn’t know much about it. But I won’t be investing anymore money into the tool connect system unless they upgrade it to gps.

Literally pointless lol. Got it for $25 so I can’t be mad. But it does nothing lol. Gotta have the app open for it to “track” and the tracking doesn’t actually track anything. It’s Bluetooth so it’s gotta be within 35′. And even when you look at it in the app it just shows a street address and a map showing the address. So it has no use at all.
