Description
- Brushless motor of the angle grinder requires no brush changes.
- DEWALT grinder’s brake stops wheel in 2 seconds or less on average
- Kickback Brake engages when a pinch, stall, or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the metal grinder and shut the grinder off.
- Features E-Switch Protection – When the ON/OFF trigger switch has a no-volt release function. In the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool.

Very happy with this tool, extremely powerful and well built

So far just used for twisted wire brush on rust, worked great, with little drain on a generic 4Ah battery. Weight is fine, balance good. I like the hex wrench system for tightening the arbor screw; much more likely to be readily available if the provided wrench is lost or forgotten. 6K RPM’s plenty adequate for light to moderate jobs. Tool seems well thought out to me. The complaints about stopping with overheating and binding are a little hard to understand given that these are built in safety and longevity features thoroughly covered in the instructions. This is not equal to a plug in tool, as is true of all battery powered tools. I expect if a constant heavy load is put on it the battery will run down quickly, and the motor is likely to overheat given the constraints of battery powered tools. Just physics, folks. If you want 10K+ RPM and ability to do constant heavy cutting or grinding, use something with a cord!

Using the DEWALT 20V MAX* Angle Grinder Tool has truly enhanced my DIY projects. As soon as I got my hands on it, I could feel the quality and robustness of the tool. The cordless design is incredibly convenient, allowing me to move freely around my workspace without being tethered to an outlet.
One aspect I particularly enjoy is the power it packs. Cutting through metal and grinding down rough edges was smooth and efficient, with no noticeable drop in performance. The paddle switch is responsive and adds a layer of safety, which is crucial when handling such a powerful tool.
The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold, even during extended use. The tool’s balance is spot on, reducing hand fatigue and making precise work easier. Changing out the wheels is quick and straightforward thanks to the included wrench, which saves time and keeps the workflow smooth.
The only slight hiccup I encountered was the battery life. While it’s decent, for more extensive projects, having a backup battery is essential to avoid downtime. But considering the tool’s performance, this is a minor trade-off.
This angle grinder has become a staple in my toolkit. Whether it’s for heavy-duty cutting or detailed grinding, it delivers reliable power and precision. For any DIYer or professional, it’s a tool that stands up to demanding tasks with ease.

I love Dewalttools, and this one is no different. Works well,as expected, and so versatile being cordless.
Could not be happier with my purchase.

Can’t beat Dewalt. Excellent tool and very durable. Highly recommend this tool and any Dewalt tool.

I got this version of the angle grinder because I didn’t want the paddle switch version (tested that one in the store and didn’t like it) or the slide switch version (better but too awkward to turn on and off). I’m really glad they made a trigger switch version like most electric tools. This way to turn the spinning on and off is really the most convenient way to go.
The shield/guard is a bit tricky to operate. There is a small metal rocker level on it and depressing it will let you rotate the shield. You can also take it completely off but if you do it’s a challenge to get it back on. It has to be aligned in a very specific way before it will go back on.
The tool is pretty fast and I got some flap sanding disks and it really cleaned off rusty, crusty putty knives pretty quickly. I also tried using the flap sanders to strip off multiple layers of paint on an oak table, but even with the finest grit it was pretty aggressive and made some gouges (because the tool has to be tilted with respect to the surface to use it), so we went back to a belt sander and Dewalt palm sander. Even though those removed paint slower they didn’t make gouges in the wood like the angle grinder did.
The flap sanders are pretty durable but it I would use the really thin cut-off disks, I’d definitely wear eye protection, a leather apron, or heavy clothing because those disks can shatter and send sharp shards flying into you. With the flap sanding disks I used eye protection and a dust mask, and used it outdoors, because it generates a huge amount of dust. Overall, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS angle grinder style and brand.

Soporta el trabajo duro lo e utilizado para cortar concreto y metales gruesos tiene buena potencia más si lo utilizan con baterías Mínimo de 5ah

For quick jobs this tools is great I would recommend at least a 5 amp hour battery. But, if you need to grind for more than 5 minutes its not great and would I would still recommend the corded version.

I have used this a number of times for cutting steel roof panels and it has worked flawlessly. I wish I would have bought one earlier!
