Its pretty good my craftsman went after 4 years hoping this will last. Used it to cut travertine with a diamond blade. Around 25 pieces of 1 inch paver No issues but this is not a every day tool.

Plenty of power. Nice weight to the tool which leads me to believe it is quality built. Runs quiet and cool. Eats the paint right off leaving a smooth surface for painting.

Needed a replacement for my 35 year old Makita 4″ grinder. Have used this grinder a fair bit and am very pleased with its performance. For the price it was better quality than expected. Update Have reduced rating to 1 star. Haven’t used for a few weeks. Tried to use this morning and the grinder started to make weird noises and started to smoke really bad than stopped working completely. Not very pleased anymore. Update #2. Company was very quick with a response to my complaint and after a few emails they replaced the grinder with out any problems. New unit seems to be working great.

I had 3 locks of varying sizes that required cutting. It did the job effortlessly. My son told me to purchase expensive named brands. The Avid worked well for my current and future needs and was a fraction of the cost of named brands . The inclusion of grinding discs is a good benefit.

Zipped the top off of a thicker steel barrel no problem. The included cutting disks ground down fairly quickly but it’s a common arbor and disk size. Finding a replacement disk at any hardware store should be no problem. Worked great for paint removal with a disk I bought.

Very happy with the grinder. I needed a smaller grinder for getting into tight spaces doing rust repair and this one works. So far the trigger stays locked and the body is small enough that I can comfortably hold it in one hand. The motor feels powerful and smooth and the grinder has some weight to it, it doesnt feel like a cheap toy.

Low priced for occasional use. I ground the top off of an aluminum entry door to account for tree roots lifting the frame. It is capable of many jobs and includes enough disks for home shop use. Not heavy duty enough for a welding shop or paint shop.
