Works fantastic. I’ve wanted one for a while, but the main Home Depot competitor is twice the money. Its also probably twice the tool, but if you are a do-it yourself shade tree mechanic, this is great value.
I bought this and used it immediately on a complete rebuild of a 6 liter diesel engine, and this was the MVP tool for that entire job.
Some reviews giving it bad review because it has no ‘loosening’ power, but none of these types of ratchets are, even the air driven ones aren’t. They aren’t designed to ‘break’ the initial connection. You put it on the bolt, pull on the body of it like a regular ratchet to crack the nut/bolt loose, then you press the button to spin it off with the motor. Manufacturers ‘say’ not to do it this way because people would attempt to use these in an improper method, like standing on the tool to get a bolt loose, or attach a pipe to it. They aren’t designed for that and people are just dumb. It situations where its too tight to turn, you need a bigger tool like a breaker bar to loose the bolt. This will take it off the rest of the way!
That battery lasts a really reasonable time. the build is pretty good. I feel the battery connects to the body in a little bit of a ‘cheap’ or not well executed design, i had the battery pop out a few times, but the price of this is 1/2 of the nearest competitor and so far its doing exactly what I need it to do.
6 month update:
Still holding strong. This is now on my top favorite tool. I’ve used this on every engine work I’ve done in 2019 since I bought it. The battery each last a long time, but its quite a bit. The quality has held out so far, i’ve dropped it a few times and no issues. Worked on all kinds of engines with it, super happy.

I bought this after doing a review of all of the available motorized ratchets, to assess which might meet the needs of a weekend auto mechanic (hence the first person). I’ve used everything from Black and Decker to Makita to Milwaukee to Husky tools, as well as Harbor Freight, all of which have their pro’s and con’s. After looking extensively and trying out some of the various options from friends and the stores, I settled on the Aoben, based on cost, durability, the two batteries, and the 2000 mAh ratings (as well as the various reviews out there). When I got the kit, I tested the amount of charge on one of the batteries, assuming they’d be close to one another. The other one I put on the charger to see how long it would take to charge. Battery 1 was able to get through an afternoon of wrenching, pulling out various bolts from from the engine and transmission of an air cooled vehicle. I’d say I used it all told about a half hour, dropping it twice when reaching for some tight areas under the hood. (I used it outside of the motorized aspect as well – it’s a ‘regular’ ratchet wrench as well). No issue with that. It still had charge, and when I put it on the charger it took about 35 minutes to fully charge. The smaller head was able to get into some cramped areas, which was greatly appreciated particularly when one can only ‘feel’ but not ‘see’ the nut. Battery 2 took about 48 minutes to charge (from red to green on the indicator), and the swap was fairly easy – it’s a bit tight for the batteries, but only took a modicum of pulling to get it out.
The functionality was no issue with both the tool and the metric sockets that came with the kit. I was also using
my old hex attachments which were longer, and I didn’t have any issues with those either. I did notice I scraped the plastic just above the battery when the tool got caught on the hood brace, but otherwise the two drops (from about waist height) didn’t seem to cause any issue.
Of note this is made in China – like virtually all of the other motorized ratchet wrenches I looked at (Makita and Kimo being the exceptions). At least for a weekend mechanic, the Aoben works well for what I need it for, and potentially even more than that. It isn’t as heavy as some of the others, it’s well balanced, and as noted, it can fit into some tight areas which others might not be able to do so. Although I wish the finish was a bit better (that plastic scrape was my fault, though), I’m otherwise pleased with the tool, the batteries, and the sockets. It’s high value for the price.

電動のためエアーツールには劣るが問題なし、バッテリーも2個付属なのでバッテリー切れの心配もなし、普通に毎日使えてます
良い買い物をしたと思ってます。

This Tool will save you a lot of time on the wrenches’. It is not a 20 Volt De Walt or Milwaukee so don’t expect to remove or tighten Lug nuts with it. It is Excellent for automotive engine work, like removing Heads and Manifolds, projects were a lot of long winded bolts are involved. I just replaced a Camshaft in my 4.8 GM lots of long bolts, it can also be used as a ratchet to break the bolts loose before you remove them. Great little Tool for the Price. Beats the Hell out of sore wrists and Cramping fingers. Will Recommend!

Just received it today (ordered yesterday), charged batteries, less than 30 min and whammo… does what it supposed to do, turn bolts and nuts so you don’t bust your knuckles or wear your hands and arms out with a reg. ratchet in tight, awful difficult spots (as in car starters) There’s always a bolt that is hidden and hard to access under cars in the garage and elsewhere. Yes, it’s not a Tork monster, but it’s not meant to be, as none of these type electric rachets are, ALL are limited and not a 20-volt impact driver caliber. However, it makes threading and unthreading bolts and nuts a breeze, and it can be used as a reg. ratchet to loosen then spin those pesky bolts/nuts off and on. like man, makes life easy, a real time saver!!!…This kit is an awesome won’t break the bank and is well made even better than some brand names! Two batts, nice MM sockets, small extention and soft case, I don’t know why I didn’t get one years ago!
Update:12/10/2024 Still working perfect. I use this rachet weekly. I haven’t at times been gentle with it yet it still functions to a level with the big cost units. It’s been dropped accidently several times from waste high on to concrete floor, scraped, dented etc. etc. this tool is amazing. I did buy some nice deep well sockets off amazon to get me more socket flexibility. The batteries are solid and stay charged for a long time. Included some pics of features I forgot to mention like its variable speed, has batt status of green, yellow and red, safety switch lock, the control switch trigger doesn’t flop around and is metal, charger works perfect and quick. This is an amazing package so still thumbs up from me.

I got this for my son who is getting into wrenching on things. It is good quality for the value. Works fine for now, not sure how long it will work for, but for the price you can’t beat it as an entry level tool.

For home hobby use only.
That is my caveat to be sure.
1. I can use this on bolts that are not tightened past 45 ft/lbs and really for loose bolts no problem.
2. I was not impressed with the smell that is still off gassing but understanding how this is made it’s not a surprise.
3. Brush type, low torque motor already you can smell the brush contacts or burn in
4. Comes with 2 batteries, both were approx.. 75% charged with arrived, didn’t take very long to charge to full state with included charger. These are low amp hr batteries so don’t expect longevity.
5. Comes with a decent carry case with nice clasps, ++ on the case.
6. Comes with super cheap sockets, I give those a — rating, useless garbage I tossed them they are that bad BUT..for a light user that doesn’t care, keep them.
7. Nice hand grip trigger system, it’s a design I love on my other hand tools.
Summary:
Light use – yes, moderate use – no.
Giftable – I suppose so sure
Long-term outlook, for me It will last as long as take light care use of it, to use in a business setting, NOPE.
There are better units out there, KMS tools in Canada or Princess auto, the US, go with Harbor freight at least if you break it from them you will get a replacement, this one…not sure the mfg will be around in 2 years time.

Works fine, all sockets etc. fit and ratchet seems solid. Have to see how it goes long term

This cordless ratchet has worked well so far and seems to hold its charge fine. I find it useful in tight spots, where ratching space is limited. Great value for the money!
